How to preserve family recipe cards in a bilingual book

Keep original card photos beside checked Polish and English recipe text.

Start with one clear original card

Photograph the whole card in even light, with no glare or cropped edges. RecipeFold accepts up to twelve recipes and keeps the original image beside a clean recipe page. Begin with one card so you can judge the result before preparing a full book.

Check transcription and both languages

Browser OCR can help draft printed text, but handwriting and faded cards need manual correction. Compare quantities, units and methods with the original. Enter and review both Polish and English text yourself; the product does not promise automatic translation.

Keep the family story and save the work

Add a short memory, dedication and credit line. Preview a real recipe spread, then inspect the A5 print and screen samples. Save a draft backup with the original card photos; files are limited to 12 MB. Keep private family material somewhere safe.

Your preparation checklist

  • Clear original card photo
  • Checked quantities and units

  • A short family memory
  • A5 print and screen examples

Before you decide

Is translation automatic?

No. Both languages are editable and require human review. Browser OCR is an optional text-drafting aid, not a translation service.
